It has been reported that Travel operator TUI is to close their Swansea based contact centre with the total loss of 48 jobs with calls being transferred to their existing High Street Branches.
The company is at present entering a 45 days consultation period with staff at the contact centre with a proposal to, wherever possible, redeploy staff in other areas of the business.
Kathryn Ward, retail and financial service director said;
“This is a difficult decision and the welfare of the employees impacted is our priority. We are committed to working through and validating our proposals with them and then subject to that, ensuring that we consider suitable alternative employment within the organisation whilst maintaining the excellent service our customers expect from us.”
