UK National Contact Centre Awards Raises £7,000 for Elsie’s Story

Organisers of the UK National Contact Centre Awards are pleased to announce a total of £7,000 has been raised for the charity Elsie’s Story, as a result of donations from attendees at this year’s 30th anniversary edition of the awards night, held on 16 June 2025.

Attendees raised £3,500 on the night, before this figure was generously matched by headline sponsor for the awards, Sabio.

Elsie’s Story is a charitable trust established in memory of Elsie Dot Stancombe, a young girl who tragically died in the Southport attack in July 2024.

The charity was founded by Elsie’s parents Jen and David, with the primary objective of providing grants to causes in Elsie’s name, and with a focus on young people and community support.

Jen and David joined the 1,200 attendees at this year’s event to present awards to winners in the ‘Giving Something Back’ category.

Leigh Hopwood, CEO for the awards night’s organisers, the CCMA, commented,

“We’re incredibly grateful to Jen and David for joining us at the awards and for getting up on stage to present a winners’ trophy,”

“Elsie’s Story is a wonderful initiative, and we’re pleased that the UK National Contact Centre Awards has been able to provide a platform to help drive donations to it. We’d like to thank everyone who donated on 16 June 2025, and it speaks volumes that there was pin-drop silence in the room as Jen and David described so gracefully how they’re keeping the memory of their beautiful daughter alive through the charitable trust.”
