NRG Changing Perceptions of Contact Centre Careers

NRG lead the way in changing perceptions of customer contact careers

NRG is part of a new initiative driven by the private and public sector throughout the North East, with the aim of changing perceptions of working in the customer contact industry.

The customer contact industry is experiencing huge growth due to re-shoring work from abroad, with over 3,700 new job announcements being made over the past year. NRG is part of a group, comprising the seven local authority investment teams, LEPs and other partners, to collectively develop an action plan ensuring contact and shared service centres have the flow of people required to succeed.

The North East Customer Contact Partnership aims to work together with the region’s contact and shared service centres promoting career progression opportunities through positive PR and engagement activities, to attract new talent to the sector.
