Totally plc, a contact centre outsource company providing telephone patient care and support via NHS 111, has gone into administration with estimated job losses across their UK Sites of 100 jobs.
Totally, which employed 1,400 people across several contact centre has been sold to PHL Group, another healthcare provider to the NHS – with the immediate transfer of 600 of its employees.
Totally’s 111 national resilience support contact centre contract with NHS England concluded on 15th February 15, and as a result of NHS England no longer providing services at a national level; the contract is estimated to have been worth £13m should the contract have been renewed.
In a statement PHL Group confirmed.
“The transition has been carefully managed by working closely with NHS England and local NHS trusts and commissioners to ensure there is no disruption to patients with all existing services continuing to operate as normal. Individuals will continue to receive personalised care from the same dedicated teams they know and trust. As a result, over 600 jobs have also been safeguarded.
