Entries have now opened for the North East Contact Centre Awards 2018, which looks to recognise and reward the outstanding achievements of superheroes within the industry.
The awards, which is now in its 16th year, will celebrate employees who have helped to shape the positive reputation of the industry in the region, as well as recognise company excellence in this field.
Hosted next February by MAKE it Sunderland, the awards are set to be bigger and better than ever, with a range of corporate sponsors including the event’s headline sponsors, greenbean by NRG.
Leanne Chambers, client solutions director at greenbean by NRG, said: “Having supported this event for over a decade, we are delighted to once again headline the North East Contact Centre Awards.
“Headquartered in Newcastle, our roots are in the North East and the success of our region’s fantastic breadth of contact centres is a key area of focus for greenbean by NRG. We’re committed to attracting the new talent needed to ensure the future growth of this sector, changing perceptions of contact centre careers and highlighting the opportunities available to succeed.”
Judged by a panel of representatives with expertise from every aspect of the industry, the awards consist of 12 categories including: Best Contact Centre Over 250 Seats, Sales Star, and People Development Heroes.
Entries are open until Friday, 16th November 2018 and the finalists of the awards will be invited to a black-tie event at Ramside Hall in Durham on Friday 8 February 2019.
Councillor Graeme Miller, leader at Sunderland City Council said:
“We at Sunderland Council are ecstatic to launch the North East Contact Centre Awards. Contact centres have proved to be a resilient part of the region’s economy and together they employ tens of thousands of people.
It is over 20 years since they first emerged as a significant part of the North East employment scene and thanks to the ability of the workforce to embrace new technology and respond effectively to consumer preferences, they have evolved constantly.”
Mark Brannen of BGL Group, previous winners of Best Contact Centre over 250 Seats, added: “For anyone thinking of entering, I would say absolutely go for it. The awards nomination process is easier than ever and the judging is a great way of celebrating what you do.”
