It has been reported that Outsourcer Teleperformance is to create up to 600 jobs in Scotland before the end of this year as it benefits from strong demand across the private and public sectors.
Alistair Niederer, chief executive of UK and South African operations said he expected the workforce across the group’s sites in Airdrie, Erskine, Glasgow and Kilmarnock to rise to 4,000 by November with the majority of the new contact centre positions will be Glasgow Jobs and the company hopes to move more staff from part time jobs to full time positions over the coming months.
