Leading UK customer management specialists, RESPONSE, have shown their “love” for raising funds for chosen charity Help for Heroes, during a special themed love week.
Over £1000 was raised in total by kind hearted employees who embarked upon a whole host of activities which included; a “Love day” where employees were able to show their romantic side by wearing red to work, an amorous Love quiz, a specially arranged Love box to deliver messages from secret admirers and also some classic Rom Com movies which were played across the RESPONSE sites during the course of the week.
Whilst love was undoubtedly in the air two brave members of the team decided that hair removal was an even better way to boost the fundraising total further; with Customer Advisor Jamie Spiers agreeing to a full back waxing from resident beautician Amy Rowlands and plucky Customer Advisor Fraser Freeman volunteering to wave goodbye to both of his eyebrows. For Fraser this was the second year in a row that he has done so all in the aid of a good cause.
Kim Wardner, Regional Coordinator for Scotland at Help for Heroes said. “The enthusiasm of the RESPONSE team in Scotland for their fundraising has been boundless and is utterly contagious. It is thanks to wonderful support like this that mean we have been able to achieve so much in such a short time for our wounded, injured and sick in Scotland. “
Julie McIntosh, Director of People and Culture at RESPONSE said “There’s no doubt that when it comes to fundraising for the different charities we support each year our employees do indeed show their love for the work they do. The enthusiasm they show never ceases to amaze me and the amount of money we continue to raise really is something to be proud of. We are already well on our way to hitting this year’s target of £10,000 and are looking forward to even more fun activities in the months ahead.”
