All enquiries for the various elections happening across Great Birtain in May will be directed towards a single helpline which Echo will manage. For the fifth year in a row the business will be responsible for handling all manner of customer enquiries about the registration and voting process and what’s involved in the run up to the elections.

To manage the campaign, Echo will deploy a core team to fulfil regular demand, supplemented with additional experienced advisors to deliver an agile operating model to effectively manage the shifting volume of enquiries associated with key stages of the campaign.

echo.karen.banfield.image.dec.2015Karen Banfield, contact centre director at Echo, said:

“We have worked with the Electoral Commission since 2011 and will be delivering a tried and tested model to provide outstanding customer support. We are thrilled to have been awarded the contract again as it demonstrates our continued success in delivering excellent customer service, driving positive results and forging strong collaborative relationships with our clients.

“This year we will be supporting the Electoral Commission with the various electoral events taking place across the country in May. The experienced Echo team will assist prospective voters in all manner of enquiries and will direct them towards all the information needed to register to vote – ultimately helping to raise participation levels across the country.

“Both the nature and intensity of enquiries that the helpline is likely to receive can vary significantly throughout the duration of the campaign so Echo’s core skills and values in agility, collaboration, and empowerment will be key”.

A spokesperson at the Electoral Commission added:

“It’s essential that members of the public who have questions about how to register or cast their vote with confidence receive informed responses. With elections taking place across the country in May, we have awarded Echo this contract to handle the wide range of enquiries we anticipate that the helpline is likely to receive before the 18 April deadline.”
