Following another year of regular health and well-being activities and a real focus on employee engagement, Sitel Newcastle has achieved Silver level of the North East Better Health Awards in conjunction with the local NHS team and ratified by the Northern TUC.
The ongoing drive to improve employee health included a ‘New Year New You’ week to promote healthy living, encourage regular exercise and complementary treatments, followed up with a July Sports month with interdepartmental challenges every Friday including carpet bowls, skittles and Jenga.
Several workplace visits by local gyms and a team of district health care professionals conducting cholesterol tests, BMI measurements and smoking cessation sessions have also improved the level of health in the organization. These activities combine with a solid framework of health related policies and practices to ensure that all Sitel employees are safe and supported in their working environment.
Judith Mottershead, Newcastle Site Director commented,
“This award is a great achievement and provides external recognition for all of the excellent employee engagement and well-being activities that we undertake for our employees.”
