Sinclair Voicenet, the UK’s longest established specialist provider of multimedia interaction recording and advanced contact centre applications, has announced that Ewan Spark has become the latest recruit to its apprentice programme. He starts his apprenticeship programme working with the company’s service desk team where he will be responsible for providing support to customers and liaising with service engineers who are strategically located across the UK.
“This programme provides young people with the expertise and skills needed to meet the growing demands of our business,” commented David Kindness, Professional Services Director at Sinclair Voicenet.
“It is a win-win situation as our apprentices know they are getting a nationally recognised qualification whilst we can be equally secure that our new employees have the required skills to hit the ground running when their apprenticeships are complete.”
The programme is being run in partnership with QA Apprenticeships, the leading provider of training and learning services. It aims to help apprentices to make the transition to permanent employment as fully qualified systems engineers after gaining key hardware, software and skills including ITIL Foundation level certification in IT Service Management.
According to Jonathan Warner, Director QA Apprenticeships – Scotland: “We have been impressed by the passion, commitment and attention to detail that has been shown by Sinclair Voicenet since starting the apprenticeship programme over three years ago. The company’s overall approach is an example of best practice when facilitating modern apprenticeship programmes in the work place.”
Apprenticeships are at the heart of the government’s skills agenda to give young people on-the-job training and provide organisations such as Sinclair Voicenet with the workers of the future. QA provides government-funded training for apprentices via Skills Development Scotland and is fully accredited by leading technology companies including Microsoft and Cisco.
