Iceland Deesisde Contact Centre Staff Face Redundancy

It has been reported that Iceland, the frozen food retailer, is set to make contact centre staff redundant at their Deeside based contact centre as the company looks to outsource its operation to South Africa.

The outsource contract, believed to be with Ascensos will see roles being transferred to South Africa with up to 30 staff given the opportunity to relocate.

A spokesperson for Iceland commented,

“We can confirm that our contact centre operations will transfer to a third party, impacting a small number of our existing employees.

This is a business led decision to support our ambitions to provide a high level of customer service as we continue to grow and evolve the Iceland offering.”
