firstsource.diversity.awards.2015Firstsource Solutions is proud to announce that it has won a trio of prizes at the Welsh Contact Centre Awards 2015 – more than any other prizewinner at the event in Cardiff.

The awards, held for the first time at the Wales Millennium Centre on Friday 6th March in front of a 700 strong business audience and presented by TV chat show star Jonathan Ross, celebrate both individuals and companies for their achievements over the last twelve months in Wales’ thriving contact centre industry.

The awards won by Firstsource were:

– HR/Comms/Engagement Support Manager of the Year for Firstsource’s Keith Osborne

– Most Diverse Workplace

– Outsourced Contact Centre of The Year.

firstsource.chivers.image2015Kathryn Chivers, Firstsource Vice President of Sales Operations, said,

“Out of 46 contact centres in Wales, to have won the most awards is quite an achievement. One area that came across to the judges was Keith’s focus around people and making our business a great place to work.”

“He is passionate about ensuring staff getting the right communication in the right way and is key to ensuring employees have monthly focus groups and all actions around these are delivered. His love of the people and our business is evident to everyone in Firstsource Cardiff, and also the judges in this category.

“In terms of the Most Diverse Workplace Award, we employ staff of many differing backgrounds and cultures. We have always been dedicated to understanding our staff’s differing needs and commitments. This can be from looking at differing religious festivities, on-site prayer rooms and support to building working groups to support staff of many cultures.”

“We also support many local community charities and our biggest sponsorship this year has been for Bawso. Established in 1995, it is a Welsh Government accredited support provider, delivering specialist services to people from Black and Minority Ethnic backgrounds affected by domestic and other forms of abuse.

“Outsourced Contact Centre of The Year was awarded due to our understanding of our client needs and close working partnership. Everyone in Cardiff deserves this award due to the dedication to making it a great place to work and making it easy for our client to do business with us very successfully.”

wccf.sandra.busby.image.2014Sandra Busby, Managing Director of the Welsh Contact Centre Forum, said:

“It’s hard to believe it, but the Welsh Contact Centre Awards are 17 years young this year. It is stronger than ever and testament to the resilience and vibrancy of one of Wales’ most important sectors.

“The Welsh contact centre industry is one of the only to have seen continued growth and inward investment over the past few years, bringing around £650m a year into the Welsh economy. These awards are the perfect way to highlight and promote the industry and the contribution it makes to Wales.”
