Virgin Trains have announced the creation of up to 100 new jobs at their Newcastle based contact centre.
The jobs are being created to handle enquiries generated from the train operators East Coast route and will see the contact centre sited within the Virgin Money Headquarters in Gosforth, Newcastle.
David Field, Contact Centre Manager at Virgin Trains commented,
“We’ll be ramping up recruitment over the next few months to fill a range of positions. At this stage, we can’t be specific on job numbers but our ultra-modern new location has capacity for around one hundred staff.
“We’ll be advertising a mix of permanent and temporary positions and all successful applicants will be offered an excellent benefits package.”
Commenting on the job creation David Horne, East Coast Managing Director of Virgin Trains, said:
