BT have announced that they are recruiting for 30 Customer service apprenticeships at their customer contact centre in Gosforth, Newcastle.
The customer service apprentices will form part of a rapidly developing operation dealing with customer issues including enquiries about BT Sport, superfast fibre broadband and mobile communications.
Commenting on the recruitment drive Farooq Hakim, BT’s North East Regional Director, said that the jobs boost is further confirmation of the “vital role played by BT as an innovator, investor and creator of jobs in the North East”.
“Such recruitment is a major vote of confidence in the quality of the North East workforce and the abilities and commitment of people in our region,” added Hakim.

BT’s Gosforth Customer Contact Centre is one of the comoany’s major UK sites handling neartly 40,000 enquiries per day which are handled by more than 1,000 customer service advisers and managers.
