The judging for the 20th edition of the European Contact Centre and Customer Service Awards (ECCCSA) is now underway as the finalists are announced this week. With a 23% increase in nominations, the Chair of the Judges, Ann-Marie Stagg, has been overwhelmed by the increase in nominations and the incredible work the industry has done in recent months to respond to the coronavirus pandemic.

WebBeds make the shortlist for Small Contact Centre of the Year alongside Redgate Software, whilst Ageas and Sberbank are finalists in the Large Contact Centre of the Year category. Co-op are recognised for the work they have done in the ‘Giving Something Back’ category. Ventrica and the Royal Voluntary Services are up for Best Outsourcing Partnership alongside Sitel and Virgin Media.

Ann-Marie Stagg, Chair of the Judges and renowned European industry professional, commented,

“Best Pan-European Contact Centre of the Year will be an interesting category this year with nominations from Shell Energy and WebBeds up against a number of outsourcers,”

“My fellow judges and I have had a tough time assessing all the entries this year. The industry has responded so well in recent months and there is much to celebrate. The competition is definitely on and I would urge the finalists to really consider the next round of judging carefully.”

“I have handpicked over 80 volunteer judges from across Europe to help us identify the best of the best,” says Ann-Marie.

“We are very grateful to our lead judges who now have many years’ experience of judging for the ECCCSAs, and to our new judges this year who are often previous award winners. They have clear standards to assess each entry against and these principles are applied with every judging session that is conducted.

“There is no doubt that winning this year will be an outstanding achievement and so I wish every finalist the very best of luck.”

In its 20th year, the European Contact Centre and Customer Service Awards (ECCCSAs) is the longest running and largest awards programme in the customer contact industry. The awards recognise organisations across Europe that are leading the way in delivering exceptional service to customers.

Highly regarded for its robust judging process, the ECCCSAs honour organisations that value their people, continually innovate to improve the customer experience, and operate efficiently and effectively.

Being an ECCCSA winner is a prestigious accolade that has proven to raise the profile of the contact centre operation, its capabilities and its stars.

Winners get the recognition they deserve by celebrating their achievements at the prestigious awards evening hosted by Fiona Bruce and a surprise celebrity legend on Tuesday 16 March 2021 at Evolution, Battersea Park, London.
