Contact centre Job boost at BT Belfast – BT (Belfast) have announced the creation of 35 new contact centre jobs within the ‘BT Flex’ Division to include full-time and part-time customer service advisor roles.
BT Flex, created in 2012 and provides extra capacity and over-flow calls from other BT contact centres, will see the workforce increase to nearly 450 with the new recruits ‘going live’ November 2015 after extensive customer service training.
Alex Crossan Managing Director, BT Networks Northern Ireland, said: “This is an exciting time at BT. Innovation is happening right across our business, from fibre broadband to sports broadcasting and cloud computing.
“To align with this innovation, BT continues to invest in its customer service, and we’re delighted that Northern Ireland will benefit from this expansion, given the competition that exists across the globe for foreign direct investment.”
Invest Northern Ireland Chief Executive Alastair Hamilton welcomed the announcement by commenting,
“Invest NI provided financial support when the BT Flex centre was created and this further expansion is a strong endorsement, not only of its success, but of the skills, work ethic and customer service focus of the Northern Ireland workforce,” he said.
“BT is the latest significant investor to find that providing customer facing business service solutions from a Northern Ireland base can result in a high quality, value added experience for both the investor and the customer alike.”
