Telecoms giant BT have announced the creation of 290 jobs at their Warrington contact centre with recruitment underway.
The majority of the roles are said to be customer service focusing on the launch of BT Sport, although some new roles are for business sales advisor and will see the site employ over 1,000 staff.
Mike Blackburn, BT’s regional director for the North West, said: “A major recruitment is under way at Warrington, which is creating great job opportunities for local people.
“The fact we will soon employ more than 1,000 people at this centre is testament to the quality of the local workforce and a vital boost for the town’s economy.”
