Auto Windscreens Contact Centre Apprenticeship Scheme

Auto Windscreens Contact Centre Apprenticeship scheme attracts 8% more applications

This summer, Auto Windscreens has seen an 8% increase in applications for its contact centre and automotive glazing technician apprenticeships so far this year, compared to total figures in 2025. It has now received 1,084 applications. Its contact centre vacancies are particularly popular, with applications more than tripling this year, compared to 2023.

These figures support recent Government data, which revealed the number of apprentices in England increased by 4.6% between August 2025 and April 2026. Auto Windscreens is recruiting for up to 17 positions, which will start later this month and will be based at its contact centre in Derbyshire and across its network of UK service centres.

Sean Draycott, Operations Director at Auto Windscreens commented: “Apprenticeships have always been crucial to our whole business, from our contact centre to our network of service centres and are a great way to introduce new talent, ideas and support our existing workforce. It’s encouraging to see the numbers of applicants increase this year, as more people are seeing a vocational alternative to higher education or are looking for a change in their career.

“Three out of the five members of our leadership team worked their way up to senior positions from starting with Auto Windscreens as trainees, including our Managing Director, James MacBeth. So many of our colleagues are testament that apprenticeships can be an invaluable stepping stone to long and rewarding careers. We look forward to welcoming our newest recruits soon”.
