Hull’s npower contact centre chosen to take donations for Children in Need
npower’s contact centre in Hull is delighted to announce its support for BBC Children in Need’s 2018 appeal, which will be returning to our screens this Friday (16th November).
This is the first time that npower’s Hull contact centre has manned the phones for the fundraising appeal, with almost 100 employees volunteering their Friday night to take the all-important donations.
In addition to Hull, two other npower sites will be taking part this year.
On the night, volunteers are set to be rewarded for their efforts with a performance from X Factor’s Tre Amici. Special guests are also set to include players from Hull FC and Hull KR rugby clubs.
Ahead of the appeal, volunteers have spent weeks fundraising in the office by selling Children In Need merchandise and holding raffles. The teams even got a visit from Pudsey himself this week, who stopped by the office to encourage donations.
Helen Schultz, Resourcing Manager at npower and organiser of the activity, said:
“It’s a fantastic honour to be taking donations on Friday for such a worthy cause – I’ve been overwhelmed by the amount of kind-hearted volunteers who have offered to give up their time.
With our plans for festival themed fancy dress and incredible special guests in tow, it’s certainly going to be a night to remember.”
