Capita Secures Extension to Transport for London Contracts

Capita plc have announced that it has secured a five-year contact centre extension for its two Transport for London (TfL) Road User Charging contracts.

The extensions run from October 2026 to September 2031, with options to extend for up to a further two years to September 2033. The combined value of the extensions is expected to be approximately £424.6m over the initial five-year term.

The extensions cover both TfL’s Business Operations and Enforcement Operations contracts which support the operation of London’s Road User Charging schemes, including the Congestion Charge, Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ), Low Emission Zone (LEZ) and Tunnels User Charging schemes.

Since 2016, Capita has acted as the systems and service integrator and operator for TfL’s Road User Charging services, combining technology, operations, customer services and specialist supply chain capability to support the delivery and ongoing development of these schemes.
