Calderdale Council are in the final stages of making their new contact centre operational from 11th November ‘Customer First Centre’.
The contact centre, located in Horton Street, Halifax and the former Job Centre Plus offices, will enable local people get help and advice from a team of dedicated customer care advisors all under one roof.
Whether you want to self serve using one of the state-of-the-art kiosks, make a payment or apply for something online, the centre will have it all! Confidential booths will be available if you would like to discuss more complex or sensitive issues face-to-face with an advisor.
Calderdale Council’s Cabinet Member for Communities, Cllr Steve Sweeney said: “People want to be able to access Council services in a way which fits in with their busy lives and the new Customer First centre is the final piece in the jigsaw.”
“We’ve improved our website so that it offers a whole range of services 24/7.Through the website you can apply for benefits, licences or parking permits; report dog fouling or fly-tipping; set up a direct debit to pay your council tax or even renew or reserve a library book. It really is that quick and simple! “
“If you’d rather speak to someone our contact centre is there to take your calls, and soon people will be able to drop into see one of our advisors at our new Customer First office. People can contact us in the way which is best for them.”
